Airbus is looking for people just like you to provide on-the-job training and supervision for RAAF Fitters and Airbus apprentices progressing towards their AME qualifications.
Richmond – Sydney, NSW
At Richmond, NSW Airbus provides heavy maintenance and modifications for the Royal Australian Air Force's fleet of C‐J Hercules and an ideal work environment to develop the skills for the next generation of AMEs for the RAAF and Airbus.
Work hours
This role ideally suits semi‐retired people who are seeking part‐time employment to provide meaningful work and to supplement their retirement income. The Airbus Richmond site operates Monday to Thursday; however, this role is open to people seeking as little as 2 days per week work.
About you
To be successful in this role, it is a requirement to be able to work in a team environment, have a strong attention to detail as well as good verbal and written skills.
The knowledge, skills and experience best suited to this role would include:
* Experienced AME and the desire to pass on your skills to the next generation of AMEs
* Hold any of the below qualifications or greater:
* Trade Certificate in aircraft maintenance (Engine, Airframe, Electrical, Instrument, Radio or Structures).
* Cert IV in Aeroskills (Mechanical, Structures or Avionics)
* DASR 66 Military Aircraft Maintenance Licence
* CASA Part 66 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Licence
* Understanding of relevant aircraft maintenance documentation and practices
* Valid Driver's License
Other experience that would be highly regarded (however not mandatory) includes:
* Any military aircraft maintenance experience
* Experience in heavy maintenance (civil or military)
* Experience in CJ maintenance
