**About the role**
**Key Responsibilities**
The Payroll Officer is accountable for ensuring employees are paid in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with relevant industrial instruments and employment contracts. Other duties include but are not limited to:
- Ensure employee payroll queries are dealt with efficiently and in a timely manner providing a long-term solution
- Maintain a high customer service focus with both internal and external stakeholders
- Provide support to managers, supervisors, and administrators on payroll related costs
- Ensure compliance with industrial instruments and relevant payroll legislation
- Accurate award and EBA interpretation
- Ensure confidentiality of payroll and employee related personal information
- Continually review and recommend process to increase efficiencies
- Deliver the highest standard in professional conduct, personal presentation and company image.

**Key Requirements**
- Proven experience in a similar role dealing within multi-site and multi agreement payroll environment
- Ability to interpret industrial instruments
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with various levels of management
- Payroll systems knowledge (Preceda and Kronos preferred)
- Knowledge of statutory payroll requirements and legislation requirements
- Knowledge of salary packaging
