The roleAs the Expedition Team's primary point of contact, this role plays a critical role in sourcing, screening, scheduling, contracting and onboarding polar expedition leaders, scientists and historians. It would suit candidates with an HR, onboarding, scheduling, compliance or recruitment background with strong admin, comms and organisational skills. Key elements include:
* *RECRUITMENT -* Assist the Expedition Team Manager with the sourcing, screening, and selecting of qualified expedition, exploration and trekking team members
* SCHEDULING- Coordinate the team master schedules, turnovers, and stints in accordance with operational requirements and team member agreements
* CRM ADMIN - Maintain the database (Salesforce)
* COMPLIANCE - Coordinate pre-employment processes including reference checks & qualifications/permits validation
* CONTRACTING - Coordinate the end-to-end process of issuing team member contracts
* RETENTION - With the Expedition Team Manager, execute effective retention strategies including benchmarking exercises, development/growth plans, training activities, and succession strategies
* STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT - Create and maintain strong working relationships with key partners and cross-functional teams
About you
To be considered for this role you must have:
* A tertiary qualification in Business Administration, HR, Travel & Tourism or a related field
* 3+ years experience in an HR, operations onboarding, admin or recruitment role
* Exceptional organisation, time management, communication and problem-solving skills
* The confidence to manage in a fast-paced environment
* The ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders across multiple time zones
* Technical proficiency with Salesforce
* The ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams
* An appreciation and respect for sustainability initiatives, natural and cultural environments
