Your Position at St John of God Geelong Hospital We are currently seeking applications from suitably qualified, Registered Nurses to join our highly skilled and multi-disciplinary Cardiac Cath Lab team. We have part time and casual opportunities available. The Cath Lab is a vibrant department with a small friendly team where a diverse array of procedures is performed, encompassing coronary angiography, Pacing, minor structural Heart interventions, Electrophysiology, Vascular and interventional radiology procedures. Shifts are Monday to Friday (no weekends!) with the majority of shifts worked between 0800-1800. Some shifts are worked from 0730-1730 and 1000-2000. You will be responsible for the provision of comprehensive patient care and the coordination and supervision of care delivered by junior staff and students. A permanent full time and a casual position available. Hours will be negotiated with successful candidate(s). The Position Provides direct total patient care to patients to achieve identified outcomes in accordance with established hospital policies and procedures and Care Paths. Demonstrates knowledge of/and functions in accordance with legislation and common law affecting nursing practice and acknowledges accountability/responsibility for own actions. Ensures Infection Management policies and procedures are available to all staff and adhered to and implemented Assist in completion of incidents / hazards / injuries reports. Participate in the documentation of Risk Assessments and Standard Operating Procedures for activities that could pose a OHS risk Communicate effectively with all customers and patients using the appropriate channels, utilising appropriate formal and informal channels of communication. You will have current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse and have recent clinical experience within Cath Lab. To succeed you will highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, ability to identify and solve problems, with a demonstrated commitment to quality patient care and patient satisfaction.
