About the Role
As a Maintenance Fitter, you will ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of machinery and equipment to support our production processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem‑solving skills, and a proactive approach to maintenance work. Key responsibilities include:
* Carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance on plant and equipment.
* Diagnosing faults and completing repairs to minimise downtime.
* Operating and maintaining specialised machinery within a food manufacturing environment.
* Collecting and analysing machine data to support ongoing improvements.
* Installing mechanical assemblies and maintenance equipment as required.
* Supporting stock management for maintenance parts and supplies.
* Ensuring all work complies with WH&S legislation and company procedures.
* Maintaining accurate maintenance records and documentation.
* Working collaboratively with production and other departments.
* Maintaining compliance with ISO 9002, HACCP and GMP standards.
* Working shifts as required.

Qualifications & Experience
Essential
* Trade or engineering qualification.
Desirable
* Experience in maintenance within a factory or plant environment.
* Experience in the food processing industry.
* Additional licences (e.g. forklift, confined space) highly regarded.
Salary Range : $75,000 - $95,000 based on experience.
