Summary of Position
Provide samples to Solina's Foodservice, Retail, and Industrial customers. Responsibilities include managing incoming raw material from the plant, blending (seasoning, sauce and dressings), shipping of samples, documentation of activities, and general cleaning duties in the lab.
Responsibilities
* Follow all blending procedures (dry seasoning, sauce, dressings) for sample requests, recording lot numbers.
* Adhere to procedures to assure a clean, safe, and organized R&D lab.
* Maintain raw material ingredient/packaging supply for the lab by ordering and documenting lot numbers for traceability.
* Keep the sample department lab clean and clean equipment as required.
* Label, store, and handle raw materials in compliance with allergen regulations.
* Clean refrigerators and freezers.
* Support analytical testing results and provide information to technologists.
* Maintain other records for internal needs as required.
* Process shipping/receiving paperwork online for FedEx or UPS shipments, tracking shipments.
* Calibrate equipment and instruments.
* Wash, sanitize, dry and store dishes.
* Perform other duties as assigned by the direct manager.
Qualifications
Any combination of education and experience providing the required skills and knowledge. Typical qualifications include:
* Experience with equipment operation: Centrifuge, Titrator (salt, TA), Brix, Hunter Color, Desiccator, Moisture oven, Blenders, Colloid Mill, Lightning Mixer, Viscometer, Brookfield Viscometer.
* High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs without assistance.
* Computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Outlook.
* Strong organizational and time‐management abilities.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet established goals.
* Effective communication and sense of urgency.

* Travel requirements: None.
* Working conditions: Typically sits for extended periods at a computer workstation; may access and work in the manufacturing plant; may be required to work weekends; safety shoes recommended in plant area.
