Business analysts are likely to deal with stakeholders at all levels of an organization, right up to the CEO.


Key Skills and Competencies

* Critical thinking: The ability to understand and analyze problems and find solutions.
* Problem solving: The ability to think creatively and work collaboratively with teams to solve business challenges.
* Decision making: The ability to make decisions around requirement prioritization, scope, and assessing the viability of solutions.
* Requirement gathering: Essential for asking the right questions and correctly understanding received information.
* Documentation and writing skills: Creating documents such as use cases, and presenting findings and recommendations to senior leaders, while managing stakeholder meetings.


Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral)


Must-Have

* Works closely with the Business team to understand business processes.
* Excellent business writing and communication skills, including developing and delivering clear documents and concise presentations.
* Ability to set and meet deadlines and work effectively in a dynamic team environment.
* Proficiency in standard office software applications, including MS Word.


Good-to-Have

* Functional understanding of Power Transmission and Distribution.
* Experience with customer interactions and working in a multi-vendor environment.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills, including writing procedures, guidelines, and O&M documentation.


Responsibilities and Expectations

1. Gathering, validating, and documenting business requirements.
2. Analyzing commercial data such as budgets, sales results, and forecasts.
3. Modeling business processes and identifying opportunities for improvement.
4. Identifying issues, risks, and benefits of solutions and outlining impacts.
5. Creating functional specifications for solutions.
6. Estimating costs and identifying savings.
7. Simplifying complex information for team understanding.
8. Implementing and testing solutions.
9. Supporting business transition and change management.
