Financial Accounting Manager – Carve‑out & Integration Our client is seeking a hands‑on, technically strong Financial Accounting Manager to act as the accounting subject‑matter expert within a major business separation and subsequent integration. This role sits within a broader project team and works closely alongside a Project Manager; however, this is not a project management, transformation, or commercial integration role. The remit is firmly focused on accounting execution, judgement, and stabilisation of financial outcomes through a complex carve‑out and transition to a future‑state structure. You will be expected to personally design and execute accounting solutions, working through incomplete data, resolving inconsistencies, and ensuring balances, transactions, and reporting are accurately separated, transitioned, and defensible. Key Responsibilities Execute balance sheet and P&L carve‑out activities across multiple legal entities Analyse, split, and transition fixed asset registers, including depreciation alignments Assess and migrate lease accounting positions (including judgement around terms, options, and valuations) Support redesign and execution of customer, revenue, and contract accounting structures Ensure accurate AP / AR sub‑ledger to general ledger flows and trial balance integrity Translate accounting implications into practical journals, postings, and reconciliations Identify accounting risks, inconsistencies, and control gaps early and work through pragmatic resolutions Work hands‑on with auditors, finance teams, and systems data to support close and cutover activities What We’re Looking For CA or CPA qualified Strong technical accounting background (statutory, balance sheet, reconciliation‑led) Experience operating in multi‑entity group structures, ideally through transactions, carve‑outs, or separations Comfortable working hands‑on inside project environments, not delegating execution Sound judgement under time pressure and incomplete information Prior exposure to ERP environments (e.g. Dynamics, Great Plains, Oracle, SAP) advantageous but not essential Why This Role This is an opportunity to work inside a significant APAC group with ongoing separation and M&A activity, offering exposure to complex accounting challenges and the potential for longer‑term opportunities for high performers.
