Civil Stormwater Design Engineer Role
We are seeking a skilled Civil Stormwater Design Engineer to lead our team in delivering innovative engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design stormwater drainage systems to mitigate flood risks and ensure optimal flow.
* Undertake on-site detention design and documentation in accordance with local government standards.
* Develop water-sensitive urban design and associated documentation.
* Manage subterranean water collection, management, and modeling.
* Conduct hydraulic catchment analysis using DRAINS software and perform TUFLOW flood modeling for impact assessments and reports.
* Road drainage design and aquaplaning assessment.
* Erosion & sediment control design and documentation.
* Experience with residential stormwater design and interpretation of relevant legislations.
* Precise knowledge of AS**** standards for public domain civil design.
* Civil earthworks design and 3D modeling.
* Subdivision works certificate experience.
* Preparation of detailed civil and stormwater engineering plans (AutoCAD) specifications, and reports.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement innovative solutions.
* Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
* Provide technical expertise and support to clients throughout their projects.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
* A minimum of four years' demonstrated experience in civil and stormwater engineering.
* Current professional membership of Engineers Australia as NER or working towards registration.
* Proficiency in hydraulic and hydrological modeling software such as DRAINS, TUFLOW, MUSIC, CIVIL 3D.
* Demonstrated proficiency in at least three software tools from DRAINS, TUFLOW, MUSIC, CIVIL 3D, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam.
* Strong understanding of Australian civil engineering design standards and regulations.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and technical skills.
* Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities.
* Proven track record of delivering high-quality engineering projects on time and within budget constraints.
* Australian citizenship or permanent residency with full working rights.
