Job Summary:
Project Officer (Research) is a crucial role in our organization, focusing on recruiting and supporting families participating in the study. The successful candidate will follow up with participants and caregivers to ensure adherence to research protocols and liaise with project stakeholders.
About the Role:
The Project Officer (Research) will play a key part in engaging with Aboriginal families, obtaining consent, collecting baseline data, and supporting retention strategies throughout the study. This position involves responding to queries, questions, and concerns of participant families; they will be trained in all aspects of the trial, including the principles of the 'Care for Child Development' (CCD) program delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
* Determine eligibility of potential babies for recruitment into the trial.
* Contact families to gauge their interest in participating.
* Explain the project to families, obtain consent, and collect demographic information.
* Deliver study materials and follow up with participants via phone calls at designated times.
* Liaise with supporting staff at other organizations for recruitment and retention.
* Assist with recruitment and retention efforts by maintaining regular contact with families.
* Support caregivers in maintaining engagement with the study and addressing any challenges they face in participation.
* Ensure adherence to study protocols, data collection procedures, and ethical guidelines.
