We are looking for an enthusiastic General Medicine Registrar to join our General Medicine team at Echuca Regional Health from February 2026 for 12 months.
This position is suitable for unaccredited General Medicine Registrars and is also accredited for ACCRM and RACGP for Internal Medicine AST Registrars.
Key Responsibilities:
* Role model the delivery of adult general medicine services
* Achieve optimal length of stay (LOS) for common general medicine presentations, without compromising patient safety
* Supervise and support Doctors in Training (DiTs), consistent with their level of training and individual learning needs
* Actively participate in mandatory meetings as required and requested
* Maintain core clinical competence specific to the area of clinical practice
Qualifications/Experience Required:
* MBBS or equivalent degree enabling registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
* Dependency Unit (HDU) and/or Acute Medical Unit (AMU) services
* Enrolled as Basic Physician Trainee with Royal Australasian College of Physicians
* Minimum of 3 years' Post Graduate experience
* Significant experience in the provision of adult medicine services, ideally including High
* Desire to enrol as Basic Physician Trainee with Royal Australasian College of Physicians and/ or Internal Medicine AST with ACCRM or RACGP
* Procedural skills relevant to adult general medicine
