Position Overview

We’re looking for a dynamic and forward-thinking Operations Director who can balance strategic vision with hands‑on delivery. This person will thrive on driving structure, clarity, and efficiency across a regional and global, fast‑paced Professional Services environment. They’ll lead and inspire a diverse team of Operations professionals, Project Coordinators, and specialists, ensuring that processes are consistent, data is accurate, and resources are optimised to deliver outstanding results. This role is part of the Professional Services Leadership in APAC, reporting directly to VP of Professional Services.

This role ensures operational excellence through standardised processes, data integrity, resource optimisation, and continuous improvement across all functions that support service delivery.

The right candidate will be analytical, organised, and collaborative, someone who naturally connects people, processes, and technology to achieve operational success. They’ll have a strong background in operational governance, project delivery frameworks, project management, and data‑driven decision‑making, with the confidence to influence at all levels in a complex, matrixed organisation. Above all, they’ll be proactive, adaptable, and passionate about continuous improvement and innovation.


Responsibilities


Operational Leadership & Governance

* Lead and develop the Operations Team fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence.
* Partner with Global Services Operations to standardise and enhance procedural best practices across APAC.
* Work with the Professional Services Leadership to define annual objectives and strategic priorities.
* Evaluate new initiatives and create business cases to ensure strategic alignment.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives in systems, processes, and data quality auditing.


Scheduling & Resource Management

* Oversee centralised scheduling process (using NetSuite SuiteProjects Pro) for consultants across multiple MRI Practices.
* Ensure efficient daily resource allocation of functional and technical implementation consultants.
* Oversee internal requests from other MRI departments for Professional Services Assistance.


Project & Data Quality Management

* Support Project Managers and Practice Leaders in maintaining high data quality standards against the established MRI project management framework.
* Provide operational, procedural, and administrative support to align with departmental governance.


Reporting & Business Intelligence

* Deliver detailed business intelligence and reporting to Practice Leaders and Senior Management, including utilisation, capacity planning, forecasting, backlog management and client survey analysis.
* Monitor headcount and resourcing with Practice Leaders to optimise utilisation and maximise revenue.


System Administration & Process Integration

* Manage Salesforce 360 and SuiteProjects Pro integration for seamless sales order processing, project setup and handover to Project Management.
* Provide subject matter expertise and administration support for Salesforce 360 and SuiteProjects Pro.


Financial Operations

* Manage timesheet submissions, approvals, and oversee month‑end billing and invoicing for all Professional Services projects.
* Administer commercial offerings (Recurring Professional Services, Prepaids and Inclusive Services) and the Professional Services Reward Program.
* Collaborate with Global Services Operations and regional leadership on quarterly incentive plans.


Escalation & Incident Management

* Act as the escalation point for staffing, scheduling and operational setup issues.


Compliance & Best Practice

* Promote adherence to company standards and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
* Champion continuous improvement, process efficiency, and cross‑team collaboration.


Key Skills

* Previous experience of 10+ years leading project delivery, practice management or PMO.
* Strong financial acumen required.
* Proven leadership of multi‑disciplinary operational teams within Professional Services or consulting environment.
* Strong operational governance skills with experience defining and implementing standardised frameworks and best practices.
* Strategic thinker with the ability to set objectives, prioritise initiatives, and balance strategic vision with hands‑on delivery.
* Solid understanding of project management principles and governance within complex, matrixed organisations.
* Advanced analytical and reporting capability across utilisation, capacity planning, forecasting, and revenue optimisation.
* Proficient in PSA tool sets like NetSuite SuiteProjects Pro, Salesforce 360 or equivalent, with strong process automation experience.
* Skilled in Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and AI productivity tools such as Copilot.
* Sound financial acumen, including timesheet, invoice, and revenue management, and experience managing different commercial offerings.
* Proven record of driving continuous improvement, operational automation, and process efficiency.
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence across regions and functions.
* Highly adaptable, solution‑oriented professional, comfortable operating in fast‑paced, global environments.
