As a Control Systems Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and delivery of control, automation, and SCADA systems for power system projects to a high, construction-ready standard.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop control philosophies and Functional Design Specifications (FDS)
* Prepare PLC/RTU hardware specifications.
* Develop SCADA system specifications.
* Create and maintain I/O lists.
* Produce hardwired I/O termination drawings.
* Develop control block diagrams.
* Prepare communications specifications.
* Produce functionality and factory/site test plans.
* Conduct and participate in design reviews.
* Support Quality Management System (QMS) processes.
* Provide technical input to tender submissions as required.
* Develop and maintain standard drawings and documentation.
* Review designs to ensure compliance with standards and best practices.
* Mentor and support junior engineering staff and develop and deliver internal training sessions.
Highly Regarded Skills & Qualifications:
* Minimum 5+ years' experience
* Relevant experience within an EPC environment
* Membership (or eligibility) with Engineers Australia
* CPEng (or working towards)
* Understanding of Australian power utility standards and requirements
* Familiar with IEC61850, DNP3, Modbus and OPC protocols
