* Professional Level 6, $95,986 - $103,873 p.a., plus up to 17% employer superannuation
* Full time, fixed term appointment for two years

The Opportunity

UniSC Clinical Trials is a world‐class centre delivering innovative and clinically relevant research in collaboration with healthcare professionals, pharmaceutical sponsors, and community partners.

As Laboratory Coordinator Technician, you will coordinate all laboratory sample management activities across clinical trials. Reporting to the Team Leader, Clinical Trials, you will oversee sample collection, processing, storage and shipping, ensuring full compliance with ICH Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), approved protocols, and IATA regulations. This is a hands‐on, detail‐focused role requiring strong technical capability and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast‐paced research environment.

You will

* Coordinate the collection, processing, documentation, storage and shipping of clinical trial samples in accordance with approved protocols, SOPs, GLP and IATA requirements;
* Collaborate with Clinical Trial Coordinators, sponsors and internal teams to ensure accurate laboratory set‐up, documentation and lifecycle tracking of all samples; and
* Oversee laboratory equipment monitoring, compliance, documentation and supply management to ensure operational readiness and regulatory adherence across sites.

About you

You are a detail‐oriented laboratory professional with experience in clinical research or regulated laboratory environments. You understand the importance of precision, documentation and compliance, and you take pride in maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Comfortable working both independently and within multidisciplinary teams, you bring strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‐paced setting. You are adaptable, solutions‐focused and committed to supporting high‐quality clinical research outcomes.

You Will Possess

* A tertiary qualification in a health or science‐related discipline, with relevant laboratory experience (or an equivalent combination of training and expertise);
* Demonstrated knowledge of ICH Good Clinical Practice and Good Laboratory Practice requirements;
* Proven competence in general laboratory practices and biological sample handling (PBMC experience desirable);
* Experience maintaining accurate laboratory documentation and using clinical trial management systems or electronic databases;
* Strong organisational and time‐management skills with high attention to detail;
* Previous experience in a clinical trial laboratory environment (highly regarded);
* Flexibility to travel between sites and work outside standard business hours, including participation in on‐call or confinement rosters where required; and
* Safe Transport of Infectious Substances by Air (IATA) certification (highly regarded).
