Occupational Therapist – Incentives Offered
Hunter New England Local Health District is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our New England Community Aged Care Service (NECACS). This full‑time role supports older adults across the Tamworth Regional Council area.
* Remuneration: $116,892 – $120,680 per annum + superannuation + salary packaging + rural incentives
* Location: Tamworth Community Health Service

Responsibilities
* Provide assessment and intervention in the community, including discharge planning for Manilla and Barraba Hospitals and post‑acute care interventions.
* Deliver high‑quality clinical services to adults within the Tamworth Regional Council area, supporting optimal health and wellbeing outcomes for patients, their families, and carers.
* Work independently and as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team.
* Manage your own waitlist, appointments, and workload while collaborating with senior occupational therapists.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Occupational Therapist with current Authority to Practice with AHPRA.
* Proactive and organised clinician with strong planning, communication, and time‑management skills.
* Passion for rural healthcare and experience in home modifications and equipment prescription (preferred).
* Australian Citizen, permanent resident, New Zealand citizen with NZ passport, or appropriate visa allowing work in Australia.
