Talent International, a leading Australian recruitment firm, has been engaged by our long-standing client to recruit a Commissioning Process Engineer on a contract basis until March ****.
Role Title: Commissioning Process Engineer
Location + WFH Flexibility: Port Kembla, NSW
Hourly Pay: Flexible for the right candidate
The Commissioning Process Engineer will ensure the capital project delivers commissioning systems and processes that support a successful start-up, seamless transition, and ongoing safe, compliant, and reliable operation of plant and equipment. You will:
Develop and implement commissioning manuals, procedures, processes, and plans.
Support operational readiness, safe start-up, and ongoing plant performance.
Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams to integrate new and upgraded equipment.
Lead risk management and ensure commissioning activities align with safety, quality, and cost standards.
Provide clear reporting and communication across the project team and stakeholders.
Required Skills and Experience
Experience in commissioning and operational readiness within heavy industry or manufacturing projects.
Strong understanding of plant operations, maintenance, and engineering processes.
Ability to engage at strategic and operational levels with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
Experience in risk management, technical documentation, and coordinating commissioning systems.
Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel and Project.
Relevant engineering degree and professional licence or registration preferred.
