An Eastern VIC hospital requires a Senior Medical Officer in General Practice Fairly urgently - Tuesday 2nd of June – 1 x 24 hour on call block. $3000 Tues 7/7 – 1 x 24 hour on call block - $2,500 Tues 28/7 – 1 x 24 hour on call block - $2,500 About the Role: • Provide holistic obstetric and neonatal care in a supportive rural environment. • Manage approximately 150–200 births per year. • Deliver comprehensive care where no on-site paediatrician is available candidates should be comfortable and proficient in managing both well and unwell neonates. • Work within a collaborative multidisciplinary team committed to safe, high-quality rural maternity care. Requirements: • Current registration and experience as a GPO/Obstetrician with recent clinical practice. • PROMPT (obstetric emergency training) or equivalent completed within the last 12 months. • Level 3 FSEP certification current within 12 months. • Neonatal Resuscitation (NNR) certification current within 12 months. • Advanced procedural skills and confidence working independently in a rural setting.
