About the Role
Synergie Australia are seeking an experienced Process Manager to join a client's gold mining operation in the Northern Territory. This is a senior role responsible for managing, optimising, and improving operational processes across the mining operation, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with regulatory and environmental standards. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in the mining industry and a strong focus on operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee and optimise operational processes within the mining operation, including extraction, processing, and plant operations.
* Develop, implement, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) aligned with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
* Monitor performance metrics, identify inefficiencies or bottlenecks, and implement solutions to improve throughput and productivity.
* Lead cross-functional teams to ensure consistent process execution and compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement best practices across the operation.
* Support change management initiatives, ensuring smooth adoption of new technologies and processes.
* Ensure all processes comply with relevant occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations.
* Prepare reports and recommendations for senior management on operational performance and improvement opportunities.
Key Requirements
* Proven experience in process management or operations within the mining sector, preferably in gold mining.
* Strong understanding of mineral processing workflows, mining operations, and process optimisation.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
* Analytical mindset with problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
* Experience implementing continuous improvement initiatives and process efficiency programs.
* Knowledge of Northern Territory mining regulations, OH&S standards, and environmental compliance.
* Relevant qualifications in mining engineering, process engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
