We are seeking a motivated and reliable individual to join our team as a Pump Technician & Retail Sales Support.
This is a diverse role involving diagnosing, repairing, and installing pumps and accessories in the workshop, in the field, and supporting customers in-store.
The ideal candidate will have experience in pump service, installation, and repair, with a strong understanding of mechanical systems and diagnostic skills.
As a member of the retail team, you will provide technical sales advice and product recommendations to customers on the shop floor and over the phone.
You will also be responsible for notifying customers when repairs are completed and ready for collection.
As a representative of the business, you will uphold a positive customer experience and represent the company professionally.
Key Responsibilities:
 * Diagnose and repair a wide range of pumps, including submersible, diaphragm, multistage, variable speed, and helical rotor types.
 * Perform installations and service work both in the workshop and at customer sites – sometimes supervised, sometimes independently.
 * Maintain a clean, organised workspace and company vehicle.
 * Accurately complete job cards, repair documentation, and stock use records.
 * Order and manage spare parts when required.
 * Support stocktakes and inventory management processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
 * Minimum 3 years' experience in pump service, installation, and repair.
 * Mechanical qualification or relevant hands-on experience.
 * Current Class 1 driver's licence.
 * Strong diagnostic skills and technical knowledge across multiple pump types.
 * Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
 * Solid customer service and communication skills.
 * Basic computer skills (POS systems, documentation, email, etc.).
 * Willingness to support the retail counter and customer enquiries as required.
