Qualifications
Grade 12 or equivalent
Previous caretaking experience an asset but not necessary
Some basic maintenance skills (carpentry, electrical, plumbing). Trades or contracting skills are an asset
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
Ability to complete required paperwork
Class 5 Driver\'s License or better
Basic computer & cell phone skills
Lawn mower, tractor, chain saw experience
Ability to work with Board members, campers, renters, youth, and hired contractors
Valuable communication skills
Appreciation of nature and the outdoors
Duties
Provides security, maintenance, and customer liaison for the Rock Lake United Church Camp and Rock Lake Campground
Report to designated members of the Rock Lake United Church Camp Society (RLUCCS)
Maintain yearly occupancy at the residence provided at RLUCC
Comply with site Rules & Regulations, Caretakers Contract, & Caretaker Duties
Contract Criteria
Yearly accommodation at RLUUCC with compensation
Negotiable contract with 5-year commitment with a first year probational contract
Candidate encouraged to find additional winter employment in the area and during times of employment during the site open months (May-Oct), the Caretakers\' representative must be on site when the caretaker cannot be on site
Approved candidates must agree to having a Criminal Record Check for employment and yearly United church camps
Salary (negotiable) with Free Housing ($55,000 + compensation package)
Shortlisted candidates will receive a site interview and a Board interview before hiring
