They will have a passion and knowledge for the fashion and retail sectors.EXPERIENCEAt least 5 years experience in a creative agencyA strong understanding of how art direction and design deliver conceptual ideas that can be used to deliver a brand storyArt direct, design and concept big brand expressions across all mediums (OOH, store, social, motion, print ad, events / experiential, etc.)Can work autonomously with limited creative oversightStrong interpersonal and communication skillsRESPONSIBILITIESThe conceptual development of creative projects with the ability to manage projects from inception through to finalisationCrafting exceptional creative for high-end, luxury Australian labels.To work at a high level of speed to deliver client projects within time and budget constraintsWorking collaboratively among a small team of specialists across creative, strategy, and productionArt Director will lead projects in ideation sessions, to generate strong ideas and concepts from storyboard and sketch stage to final execution for print and digital media.Art Director is responsible for designing and executing key collateral that fulfills the client’s marketing and branding strategies via digital marketing campaigns. These can include print ready artwork and event design collateral (ie, invitations).Art Director should actively research and be aware of art and photography, design trends, and interactive technologies and be able to speak about it with the team, clients, and vendors.The Art Directors report directly to the Creative Director but must work closely with Account Service and Strategy to ensure client engagements proceed in a timely, budget-sensitive manner.Responsible for quality assurance on all work produced to ensure brand consistency and the best execution of the Agency creative conceptsKEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:Internal communicationArt Director will work with the Creative Director to help oversee and manage all projects and the Design teamArt Director’s role includes managing projects from start to finish through; researching, concepting, developing, designing, coordinating, and overseeing the entire creative processArt Director has a strong point of view and will challenge and push our design aesthetic: bring new ideas and strategic thinking to build thoughtful design systems that balance client needs and forward-thinkingYou know, love, and have strong opinions about the creative world at large: Art, Fashion, Photography, Typography, Digital Experiences and BrandingArt Director is aware and curious about the worldYou constantly seek what’s new and are well versed in what is happening in technology, fashion, social media, and beyondYou have strong conceptual and written skills. You are able to dream up an idea and effectively articulate it in both written and visual formatsYou think equal parts creativity and strategicallyWorking with the Design Team – Reporting to the Creative DirectorArt Director will receive briefs for each project from Account Service and Strategic TeamsIt is the Art Director’s responsibility to ask questions at the beginning of the project to develop an understanding of the design needs and scopeArt Director will be responsible for leading the concept and development of projects which will be presented to the Creative Director at Creative Review meetingsArt Director will work and mentor the team until work is in a polished / presentable stateArt Director will mentor and manage team from intern to senior level designersArt Director must proactively determine and foresee issues in relation to any of the above areas and relay them to both the Creative Director and internal team.Art Director must take responsibility for problems that may arise throughout the design processArt Director must meet all deadlines;
