Position Summary
Cleaner – Darwin Corps (Salvation Army). 1 position available. Permanent, part‐time (9 hours per week) reporting to the Corps Officer.
Responsibilities
* Clean and maintain internal rooms, amenities, floors, and outdoor areas ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.
* Apply hygiene routines, disinfect high‐use areas, and adhere to infection‐control schedules while restocking consumables.
* Support maintenance tasks by reporting hazards, assisting with room set‐ups, and keeping cleaning storage areas tidy and safe.
* Manage cleaning supplies: monitor stock levels, request replenishment, and store chemicals and equipment safely.
* Follow WHS requirements: use equipment and PPE safely, follow TSA WHS procedures, and report incidents promptly.
Qualifications
* Experience in general cleaning or willingness to learn.
* Capability to perform manual cleaning tasks safely, including bending, lifting, and standing for periods.
* Reliability, punctuality, and ability to work within a set schedule.
* Ability to work independently, follow directions, cleaning schedules, and checklists.
* Working with Children Check (mandatory).
