Within RAB, our Commercial Banking teams work with business clients across a range of industries including manufacturing, health, hospitality, property development/investment and professional services - helping them grow, manage risk and achieve long‑term success.

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Business Banking Analyst to join our RAB team – with a focus on commercial lending. As a Business Banking Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Relationship Executives and providing valuable insights to help our clients succeed.
You'll leverage CBA's market‑leading products, innovative digital solutions and advanced technology to help deliver best‑in‑class outcomes for our commercial customers. Based in Newcastle, you'll join a collaborative and high‑performing Commercial Banking team with a strong regional footprint and a genuine focus on customer outcomes.
What you'll do
* Conduct financial analysis and use our market-leading tools to assess risks and opportunities in lending and client credit.
* Prepare written credit assessments for new and existing clients.
* Monitor and manage the performance of client portfolios, ensuring compliance with CBA credit policies and procedures.
* Collaborate with Relationship Executives to develop tailored financial solutions for clients.
* Assist in the preparation of client presentations and proposals.
We'd love to hear from you if you have
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
* Previous experience in business banking, credit analysis, or a similar role is preferred.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Proficiency in financial modelling and analysis.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
* High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
