We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team and contribute to the success of our projects.
Position Overview
You will play a key role in supporting the planning, coordination, and delivery of mechanical works across civil and construction projects. Working closely with project managers, site teams, contractors, and clients, you will ensure that mechanical components are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with engineering and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop project plans, scopes, and timelines for mechanical components within construction and infrastructure projects.
* Ensure all mechanical works comply with relevant engineering standards, Australian regulations, and site safety requirements.
* Promote and actively support a strong safety culture across project teams and site operations.
* Participate in risk assessments, hazard identification, and safety planning for mechanical works.
* Ensure compliance with Work Health and Safety (WHS) requirements, site procedures, and industry best practices.
* Monitor project progress and coordinate with site teams to ensure works are delivered safely and in line with project schedules.
* Conduct inspections and maintain quality control to ensure mechanical works meet engineering specifications and safety standards.
* Identify and resolve technical or operational issues that may impact project delivery or site safety.
* Analyse technical data and provide engineering recommendations to support project outcomes and efficiency improvements.
* Prepare technical reports, engineering documentation, and project updates for internal teams and stakeholders.
* Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and site personnel to ensure safe and efficient project execution.
* Support incident prevention through continuous improvement, safety reporting, and implementation of corrective actions where required.
Qualifications and Experience
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
* Previous experience working within construction, civil, mining, or industrial project environments.
* Strong understanding of safety regulations, risk management, and Work Health and Safety (WHS) practices.
* Demonstrated ability to identify hazards and implement safe engineering solutions.
* Strong organisational, analytical, and problem‐solving skills.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination abilities.
