Job Description
We are seeking a Full Time Analyst to join our Policy, Advocacy and Standards Unit, reporting to our Manager, Policy, on an ongoing basis.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
* Conducting high-level statistical, economic and workforce analysis to support the development of policies, strategic objectives, proposals, and submissions across radiology and radiation oncology.
* Developing economic models and reimbursement strategies that underpin appropriate funding for radiology and radiation oncology services.
* Delivering workforce forecasting and reporting for radiology and radiation oncology in Australia and New Zealand, including engagement with relevant jurisdictional bodies.
* Undertaking research and develop policy proposals addressing economic issues such as the impact of emerging technologies on the professions and service provision.
* Engaging with stakeholders and manage key relationships with government bodies, industry organisations, and internal teams to support strategic policy and advocacy priorities.
* Supporting College committees and respond to member enquiries by providing expert advice and information on economic, workforce and related matters.
* Producing project reports and draft communications to ensure accurate and timely updates are delivered to internal and external stakeholders.
* Managing financial resources and monitor budgets to ensure efficient use of funds in line with College policies and authorisation protocols.
Desired Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
* Experience in the healthcare sector, or a strong interest in learning about health – desirable.
* Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (economics), or demonstrable equivalent in work experience.
* High level analytical, research and problem-solving skills, including a demonstrated ability to critically analyse complex issues, synthesise and present information and to provide policy advice
* The ability to be proactive, use initiative and bring creative and innovative thinking concepts to organisation initiatives – translating ideas into implementable solutions
* High level written communication skills
* Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other relevant computer applications to support all responsibilities.
* Programming skills (R, Python) is desirable or willingness to learn these and apply to the role – desirable
