Child and Family Cultural Support Worker | Longreach | Remote Area Family Service

- Employment Term: Part-Time, Maximum Term to 30th June 2026 (38 hours per fortnight).
- Location: Longreach
- Remuneration: $44.58 per hour + Super + $15,900 NFP Salary Packaging & $2,650 for meals & entertainment

Your part in our UnitingCare team
Our Remote Area Families Service (RAFS) program is seeking a passionate and autonomous worker to join our Remote Area Child and Family Team in Longreach.
Your commitment to the role will explore the dynamics of working with our vulnerable clients in communities focusing on:

- Supporting early childhood development, parenting resilience and mobile services to communities
- Develop and implement programs to strengthen family relationships, implement early intervention and prevention activities
- Enhance and support increased First Nations/ Multicultural community participation and family functioning.
- Providing information, advice and referral pathways
- Increase awareness of children’s wellbeing and have a holistic approach to supporting early childhood education in alignment with family and child support to nurture children to be fully prepared for learning and life
- Understanding the role is predominantly delivered in remote locations and resulting in approximately 60% of work hours spent travelling and overnighting in communities.

This is a unique opportunity to explore the rural and remote outback for QLD whilst visiting children and families on station, in communities, learn about rural life and work with stakeholders who are committed to supporting families and children to reach their best outcomes.
