As an educator in nursing, you will be responsible for leading unit teaching teams in undergraduate (UG) and/or postgraduate (PG) programs. Your primary goal will be to deliver high-quality research, scholarship, and creative activities that generate significant outputs in your discipline area.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading unit teaching teams and collaborating with other unit teaching teams to develop effective unit curricula and learning resources.
* Adopting innovative curriculum design at the unit level and delivering learner-centric, research-informed teaching practices across different levels and modes of delivery.
* Initiating, designing, conducting, and potentially leading intra- and inter-disciplinary research collaborations to achieve major breakthroughs in knowledge and understanding and solutions to complex problems.
* Supervising and examining honours and/or Higher Degree by Research (HDR) students with timely completions and productive, high-quality outcomes, and providing effective mentoring to HDR students to support their professional and career development and employability.
To be successful, you will need to demonstrate the following skills and qualifications:
* Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a registered nurse.
* A PhD in a relevant discipline and/or other relevant qualifications and experience.
* An excellent record of scholarly learning and teaching in UG and/or PG programs, including innovative curriculum design.
* An emerging reputation in research and scholarship through publications and/or exhibitions and/or success in obtaining external research funding.
* Ability to contribute to communities through research.
* Capacity to contribute to leadership of research and administration.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and a proven ability to establish good working relationships with colleagues.
