Overview
We are looking for Payroll Officer – ASO2 to work with one of our government clients in Adelaide. Location: Wakefield Street, Adelaide (on-site). Contract duration: ASAP start until 19 October 2025. Pay: $37.51/hour + Super. Anticipated hours: 38 per week. 100% on site.
About the Role
As a Payroll Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing. You'll be part of a collaborative team that values precision, customer service, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
* Process pay files and support pay-related activities.
* Perform fortnightly master data entry, timesheet coding, increments, and leave applications.
* Resolve complex payroll queries with professionalism and efficiency.
* Provide outstanding customer service via phone and email.
* Work independently and within a team to meet deadlines and solve problems.
* Contribute to team targets and shared goals.
About You
We're looking for candidates who bring a strong attention to detail, resilience in fast-paced environments, and a commitment to delivering excellent service.
Essential Requirements
* Current National Police Clearance (mandatory)
* Experience in payroll (Chris21 is highly desirable)
* Background in customer service, ideally in a call centre environment
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel – Intermediate level)
* Data entry skills (minimum 40 wpm)
* Excellent verbal and written communication
* Proven reliability, punctuality, and ability to meet strict deadlines

Casual Loading
