Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in phlebotomy and laboratory procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prioritise workloads to assist the laboratory in meeting key performance targets.
* Perform phlebotomy on neonates, paediatric, adult, and geriatric patients in a busy public hospital environment.
* Prioritise inpatient and outpatient workloads to meet Turn Around Times, averaging 7 or more collections per hour on each shift.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Certificate III in Pathology Collection or equivalent.
* Previous experience in paediatric phlebotomy is highly regarded.
* Vaccination requirements include Hepatitis A & B, Measles, Mumps, Pertussis, Rubella and Varicella.
