Your new role
As the Development Engineer, you'll represent the organisation on external infrastructure projects that impact council assets. Your role will involve reviewing designs, attending meetings, coordinating approvals and ensuring external works meet required standards before being handed over. You'll oversee asset protection, provide technical advice, conduct inspections at key milestones and ensure projects are constructed in accordance with best practice and council conditions.
What you'll need to succeed
Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or similar discipline
Strong knowledge of civil construction, contract management and infrastructure standards
Minimum 5 years' experience in civil project management or site supervision
Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills
Ability to review designs, assess compliance and manage project risks effectively
