- Exciting opportunity for a Commercial Manager
**How will I Help?**
Sitting within Group Procurement & Corporate Services, the Commercial Manager is responsible for optimising Westpac's relationship with their strategic partners and technology suppliers. You will be responsible for driving the end-to-end procurement strategy by meeting the objectives and contractual delivery of products/services to the business, leading sourcing strategies in compliance with legislation and regulatory requirements. In your role, you will support the Executive Commercial Manager for Enterprise Compute and Storage, Database and Middleware procurement; part of the Infrastructure and Cyber procurement team to deliver on Group Procurement objectives.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Assist in negotiating and managing IT contracts in accordance with Westpac's principles and processes. 
- Assist in managing large supplier relationships and ensure compliance with our regulatory obligations 
- Support and manage core procurement tools, processes, and procedures 
- Support the sourcing strategy, standards, methods, and processes to ensure compliance with legislation and regulation. 
- Support the team to engage with internal stakeholders to deliver their commercial outcomes, ensure risk and compliance obligations are being met and own the commercial engagement in your categories. 
- Support the team to work with internal stakeholders and external experts to ensure continuous improvements of commercial outcomes identified through review and benchmarking processes.

**What do I need?** 
- A background in IT procurement including negotiating and managing large contracts, senior stakeholders, and supplier relationships. Experience working for a supplier or customer like Westpac is equally valued. 
- Demonstrated ability in developing and implementing sourcing strategy. 
- A high level of stakeholder engagement, flexibility, and people management. 
- A tertiary qualification in IT business management or legal studies is desired but not essential. 
- Experience working in a regulated industry (e.g. financial services) also desired but not essential
