The roleThis role has responsibility for processing financial transactions in the General Ledger area, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of data in the financial accounting systems, for the Department of Health in accordance with relevant financial management legislative requirements.
The role will performance finance transactional processing including General Ledger upload journals and customer invoice creation and adjustments whilst sustaining a high level of data integrity and accuracy. Other duties include investigating, retrieving, and reporting relevant finance information within the Department of Health's S/4HANA finance system, preparing end of month reconciliations in accordance with governing General Ledger Accruals, prepayments and reconciliation framework and financial policy requirements. Additionally, the role will provide advice on financial systems procedures and processes, and operate systems including S/4HANA DSS, Microsoft Office Suite, and SharePoint.
You will be a self-motivated team member with a strong focus on delivering high quality, accurate finance services with the ability to communicate clearly, problem solve, and meet deadlines. In addition, you will have a proven track record in building and maintaining appropriate relationships with team members, clients and stakeholders. Your knowledge of relevant legislation, policies and procedures applicable to the recording and reporting of financial information consistent with Queensland Health and other government agency directives will see you succeed in this role.
