Overview
Maintenance Electrician – Bolivar — A leading Australian meat processor is seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join their Bolivar site. The role supports the client's production operations across a variety of shifts, including 4 on/4 off days and nights, ensuring machinery runs safely, efficiently, and reliably. Remuneration includes a very competitive salary and varied shift patterns.
Key Responsibilities
* Attend to repairs and breakdowns of production machinery promptly.
* Reduce reactive maintenance and proactively minimise unplanned downtime.
* Assist in developing and implementing maintenance programs to support all internal stakeholders.
* Ensure safety standards and quality assurance practices are applied to all maintenance activities.
* Identify and escalate Animal Welfare, Food Safety, and Quality issues, hazards, and risks.
Skills & Experience Required
* Electrical license and an Australian trade qualification.
* Industrial experience in installation, fault-finding, repair, and maintenance of production equipment.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships, communicate, and collaborate effectively.
* Active problem solver with the ability to think quickly and resolve issues efficiently.
* Attention to detail, ability to multitask, and strong information processing skills.
* Experience interrogating automated applications, processing machinery, and equipment.
* Strong electrical aptitude including SCADA, comms, connectivity, inverters, power conversion, and DANFOSS/variable speed drives.
* Ability to identify and implement improvements in maintenance practices and plant performance.
* Experience with Maximo or similar CMMS is an advantage.
