An opportunity is available for an experienced internal audit professional to join the Public Transport Authority (PTA) and contribute to the delivery of high‐quality internal audit services across the organisation. This role undertakes internal audits across all PTA divisions, identifying risks, reporting on compliance and performance, and supporting improved governance, systems and processes.
Working closely with the Internal Audit Manager, the position supports the delivery of the approved audit plan in accordance with the Internal Audit framework and relevant professional standards. The role involves planning and conducting audits, preparing clear and concise reports, presenting findings to stakeholders, and liaising with executives and divisional teams to support the effective implementation and follow‐up of audit recommendations.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
* Relevant tertiary qualifications with eligibility for professional membership (IIA, CPA, CAANZ or IPA).
* Extensive experience leading and delivering internal audits in complex, commercial environments.
* Strong knowledge of financial governance, audit standards and legislative frameworks.
* Highly developed analytical, communication and report‐writing skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels and deliver outcomes to agreed timeframes.

This is a Permanent full‐time opportunity available for an immediate start. Applicants assessed as suitable through this process may be used to fill similar vacancies on a fixed term or permanent basis that may arise within the next 12 months.
