**Job Overview**
JD Sports is seeking a talented Visual Merchandising Manager to lead the strategic direction and execution of visual merchandising across all retail locations.
This role is responsible for driving brand consistency, commercial performance, and customer experience through innovative merchandising strategies while developing visual teams across multiple regions.
The ideal candidate will have a solid retail operations background with an understanding of how visual merchandising drives sales and shapes customer behavior.
A strong design sense and aesthetic eye, with practical experience in store layouts, color coordination, and merchandising techniques, are also essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement national visual merchandising strategies aligned with brand objectives to drive sales and enhance customer experience.
* Lead, train, and manage a team of State and Area Visual Merchandisers, ensuring consistent execution across all retail locations.
* Oversee the creation and installation of in-store displays, window installations, and floor layouts, maintaining brand consistency.
* Monitor and analyse the effectiveness of visual displays, using sales data to refine strategies.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as marketing, operations, project, and buying to integrate visual merchandising into promotional and seasonal campaigns.
* Coordinate with the buying and inventory teams to ensure the right products are available for displays and campaigns.
* Conduct in-store visual walkthroughs and provide actionable recommendations for improving displays and store layout.
Requirements:
* 5+ years in visual merchandising, including 2-3 years in a leadership role.
* Solid retail operations background with understanding of how visual merchandising drives sales and shapes customer behavior.
* Strong design sense and aesthetic eye, with practical experience in store layouts, color coordination, and merchandising techniques.
* Track record of successfully managing multiple projects at once, such as national campaigns and major store initiatives.
* Experience using sales data and customer insights to improve store displays and boost sales results.
* Willing to travel regularly to different store locations to conduct audits, train teams, and ensure visual standards are consistently applied.
