About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse to join our Plastic Surgery team in the operating theatres. You will act as a clinical and professional resource, demonstrating advanced knowledge, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to support the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as a positive role model and mentor, fostering a supportive and collaborative team culture.
* Demonstrate highly developed communication skills with a strong patient- and customer-focused approach.
* Work in partnership with the Nurse Unit Manager to ensure the department operates safely, efficiently, and in line with best practice standards.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will bring a strong clinical skillset and have experience working in Theatres. Your strong leadership, excellent time management, and developed clinical problem-solving skills will assist you in this role.
* Relevant registration with AHPRA.
* Minimum three (3) years' post graduate experience in area of speciality.
* Hold a relevant post graduate qualification or is working towards.
* Ability to act as a positive role model with excellent communication and delegation skills.
* Proven ability to assess, plan, coordinate and evaluate care delivery needs of patient.
* Advanced understanding of ANMC competencies as per nursing registration.
Remuneration
On offer $54.72- $58.82 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances. (QLD Clinical Nurse/Midwife Level 2 gr1-gr4).

Perioperative services at Sunshine Coast University Private Hospital offers 9 state-of-the-art operating theatres, two cardiac catheter laboratories, a minor procedure room, a day surgery unit, an 11-bed intensive care unit/coronary care unit and now offers Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI).
