About AHEI Alliance Higher Education Institute (AHEI) is an emerging private higher education provider based in Adelaide. We are currently progressing provider registration and initial course accreditation with Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency. Our first planned offering is a Bachelor of Social Work, with professional accreditation from the Australian Association of Social Workers in progress.
AHEI forms part of a broader education group that includes two commonly owned registered training organisations. For administrative purposes, this role is advertised under Alliance College.
The Role The Academic Dean provides academic leadership across AHEI. The role works closely with the executive leadership, Corporate and Academic Boards, and key committees to support registration, course accreditation, and early delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Lead academic governance, quality assurance, and compliance with HESF and ESOS requirements
Support TEQSA provider registration and course accreditation processes
Oversee course development, review, and delivery
Chair key academic committees and guide decision making
Recruit, mentor, and manage academic staff
Build a strong teaching and learning culture
Ensure alignment with TEQSA and professional accreditation standards
Engage with industry and stakeholders to support course relevance and outcomes
About You
PhD or equivalent in a relevant discipline
Senior academic leadership experience
Strong knowledge of Australian higher education regulations, especially HESF 2021
Experience with TEQSA processes, course accreditation, or institutional registration
Demonstrated success in course development and academic quality assurance
Strong governance, leadership, and stakeholder engagement capability
Strong connections within the academic community
