About The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Fleet Manager to lead the management of our extensive fleet of more than 300 vehicles, including light, medium and heavy vehicles, mobile equipment and trailers across NSW, VIC, ACT and QLD.
This role is critical to ensuring our fleet remains safe, compliant and cost-effective while supporting operational efficiency. You will oversee the full fleet lifecycle from procurement and allocation through to maintenance and disposal, while driving improvements in safety, compliance and performance.
Key Responsibilities Include
* Managing registrations, E-tags, fuel cards and coordinating servicing and inspections
* Approving repairs and maintenance and liaising with multiple fleet providers
* Monitoring usage, managing damage and handling end-of-lease returns
* Managing invoicing for leases, fuel, tolls and purchase orders while maintaining accurate data and reporting
* Preparing monthly reports for internal and external stakeholders
* Supporting drivers with safety materials and assistance during breakdowns and accidents
* Managing insurance claims and infringements
* Coordinating vehicle allocation for new starters in partnership with HR
* Negotiating leasing contracts and securing competitive pricing
* Implementing fleet and WHS policies and procedures
* Developing strategies to improve safety, reduce incidents and enhance fleet efficiency
* Ensuring compliance with relevant transport legislation, including Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL) where applicable
* Leveraging fleet management systems and telematics data to improve efficiency and reduce costs
What You'll Bring To The Team
* A minimum of 2 years of experience in Fleet Management or 5+ years in Fleet Administration (experience within civil construction is highly regarded)
* Demonstrated ability to forecast fleet requirements and associated costs
* Strong understanding of compliance requirements and safety standards
* Technical knowledge of vehicle maintenance and fleet management systems
* Highly developed organisational and time management capabilities
* Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
* Proactive mindset with the capacity to adapt to new systems and processes quickly
* Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal
* Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications
* Current valid driver's licence and Construction White Card
* Formal fleet management training is considered desirable
