About the Role
We are seeking experienced caregivers to join our residential care teams on a permanent part-time basis.
As a caregiver, you will support residents with their daily living needs, social interactions, and emotional well-being, promoting a sense of welcome, value, and support.
You will play a crucial role in enhancing residents' dignity and quality of life, ensuring they feel valued and supported.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide personal care assistance including hygiene, grooming, dressing, and mobility support
Support residents' independence and participation in meaningful daily activities, promoting choice and dignity
Assist with medication administration in accordance with our policies and procedures
Maintain accurate and timely documentation, communicating effectively with healthcare professionals and management personnel
Contribute to infection prevention and workplace health and safety practices
Assist with mealtime support to ensure nutritional needs are met
Foster a kind, respectful, and supportive environment that upholds our values and residents' rights
Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to work across different sites and shifts, supporting continuity of care
Key Requirements:
Certificate III in Individual Support or Aged Care
Experience working in an aged care setting as a caregiver
Ability to relate to elderly individuals with empathy and collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals
Ability to interpret individual care plans and provide tailored care to meet individual goals
Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills
Understanding of cognitive strategies, social interaction, and meeting the mental and emotional health needs of residents
Ability to meet all compliance requirements, including a National Police Clearance and NDIS Worker Screening
