The Engineering Manager provides leadership for Microflite Aviation Engineering Business Unit, managing workforce capability, capacity, and compliance to enable safe, efficient, and reliable aviation operations. Reporting to the Head of Engineering, the role will manage the delivery of engineering planning, training coordination, and operational administration. Ensuring engineering resources and regulatory obligations remain aligned with organisational and operational requirements.

What You'll Do:
* Manage engineering workforce availability, rostering, and planning to support safe and efficient operations.
* Lead the onboarding, training coordination, and ongoing compliance of engineering personnel in line with regulatory and contractual requirements.
* Work closely with Operations, Maintenance Control, Safety & Quality, and HR to align engineering capacity with operational demand.
* Assist the Head of Engineering with key compliance and reporting obligations, including Airbus NLP and Safran SBH.
* Manage engineering administration, invoicing, and leading Business Unit projects, including executive-level initiatives where required.
* Contribute to maintaining compliance with CASA, ISO, SMS, and the company's integrated management systems.
* Supporting contract management administration and stakeholder engagement.
What You'll Bring:
* Experience leading teams within an aviation engineering or maintenance environment, with a practical, hands on leadership style.
* Strong working knowledge of aviation regulations and compliance frameworks, and the ability to operate confidently within an Aviation Maintenance Organisation.
* A sound understanding of safety, quality, and risk management systems, with a strong compliance mindset.
* Proven capability in workforce planning, maintenance scheduling, and coordinating resources to meet operational needs.
* Familiarity with maintenance planning systems, technical records, and electronic maintenance tools (e.g. Aerotrack or similar) would be advantageous.
* Clear, confident communication skills and the ability to work effectively with regulators, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
* Well-developed organisational and administrative skills, with experience supporting budgets, contracts, and process improvement.
* A proactive, safety focused approach and a commitment to continuous improvement.
