ESTIMATOR - LIGHT GAUGE STEEL FRAMING

We are a growing Western Australia-based steel framing manufacturer delivering innovative framing solutions for residential and commercial construction projects across Western Australia. With a strong reputation for precision, fast turnaround times, and high‐quality prefabricated steel framing systems, we are looking for an experienced Estimator to join our team in Wangara.
About the Role
This position is ideal for someone with experience in steel framing, prefabrication, or construction estimating who thrives in a fast‐paced environment and enjoys working closely with clients, suppliers, and production teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for residential and commercial steel framing projects
- Interpret architectural, structural, and engineering drawings
- Complete quantity take‐offs and material calculations
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing and quotations
- Assist with tender submissions and project costing
- Work closely with detailing, production, and scheduling teams to ensure smooth project delivery
- Maintain estimating records, revisions, and project documentation
- Identify cost‐saving opportunities and support efficient project outcomes
About You
- Previous estimating experience within steel framing, structural steel, or construction
- Strong understanding of residential and commercial building processes
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Experience with estimating or take‐off software highly regarded
- Strong Microsoft Excel and computer skills
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Positive attitude with the ability to work independently and within a team
