Job Title: Apprentice Theatre Technician

Job Summary:
We are seeking an Apprentice Cinema/Theatre Technician to join our team at Specialty Theatre. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a passion for the technical aspects of theatre and entertainment.
As an Apprentice Theatre Technician, you will be learning about theatre components and actively participating in the assembly process. You will gain hands-on experience installing various cinema and theatrical components such as screens, curtains, and other equipment. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to learn and assist experienced technicians in on-site installations at large cinemas and theatres. This role requires the ability to work at heights and a strong commitment to learning and developing technical skills in the theatre industry.
**Responsibilities**:
- Learn about the various theatre gear and components used in the entertainment industry.
- Assist experienced technicians in the assembly and testing of theatre gear in the factory.
- Gain knowledge of the installation process for theatre gear in large cinemas and theatres.
- Collaborate with experienced technicians to prepare and pack theatre gear for site installations.
- Assist in the setup and installation of theatre gear at project sites, following safety guidelines and procedures.
- Troubleshoot technical issues that may arise during installations, under the guidance of experienced technicians.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the factory and project sites.

- Comfortable working at heights and in various environments, including cinemas and theatres.
- Strong commitment to learning and developing technical skills in the theatre industry.
- Ability to take direction and work collaboratively with experienced technicians.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy equipment.
**Salary**: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Williamstown, VIC 3016: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
Licence/Certification:
- Drivers (preferred)
