About the role
Join our fabrication team as a Production Assistant—no prior experience needed, though an engineering or mechanical background would be highly regarded. Dive into an exciting role mastering sandblasting, high-quality painting, CNC punch press operations, precise marking and packaging, and seamless delivery coordination—including 1-2 weekly trips to Sydney. Duties
* Sand blasting and painting of components (high-quality finish required)
* Prime coating all items as a minimum standard
* Operating CNC punch press
* Marking up all items prior to dispatch
* Wrapping, oiling and palletizing finished products
* Preparing and coordinating deliveries
* Travelling to Sydney 1–2 times per week to collect materials and deliver parts
Skills and experience
* Forklift license is desired
* Confined space & working at heights tickets preferred (company can provide, though may impact pay structure)
* TA or site experience advantageous but not essential
* No formal engineering/trade background required
* Strong attention to detail (critical, particularly for painting and dispatch presentation)
* Ability to work independently
* Physically capable (some heavy lifting involved, mechanical aids available)
* Methodical and organized
