Clinical Support Nurse - Theatre
Part Time (0.4 FTE)
The Role:
The role of Clinical Support Nurse provides support to Nurses who are supervising undergraduate students, those less experienced and newly appointed staff.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
* Assisting with the orientation of undergraduate, graduate and newly appointed nurses.
* Provide clinical support to undergraduate, graduate and newly appointed and less experienced/novice nurses, prioritising support to cohort and area with greatest development needs
* Conduct assessments of undergraduate students as required
* Monitoring the performance of the Educators in their support of new staff and provides coaching and constructive feedback
* Providing support in clinical areas as directed during times of escalation
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Hold current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse with a post graduate qualification in your relevant specialty.
* Completion of Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment (or willingness to complete within 12 months) required
* Have demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge and/or minimum of 5 years' experience in the relevant area of specialty
* Extensive knowledge of clinical support models
* Commitment to ongoing professional development
