Climate Change Specialist
We are seeking a highly skilled Climate Change Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Climate & Nature group, you will play a critical role in helping clients understand and act on physical climate risks.
Your primary responsibility will be to lead consulting projects focused on physical climate risk and nature-related strategy. You will work closely with clients to identify and assess their climate-related needs, and develop tailored solutions to address these challenges.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to leverage your expertise in climate modelling, scenario analysis, and technical science communication to provide actionable insights to clients. You will also contribute to the development of our climate risk platform, shaping methods, models, and usability to meet the evolving needs of our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead consulting projects involving physical climate risk assessments, climate projections, and climate modelling
* Act as a subject matter expert on physical climate risk, advising clients and guiding direction
* Develop and implement climate risk strategies for clients, incorporating the latest scientific research and industry best practices
* Communicate complex climate information to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring that clients understand the implications of climate change for their businesses
Requirements:
* 3-5 years' experience in climate risk, climate resilience, adaptation, or nature-related strategy
* Demonstrated experience delivering projects involving physical climate risk assessments, climate projections, or climate modelling
* Strong understanding of climate modelling assumptions and limitations, as well as the ability to translate technical climate information into clear and actionable advice
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders
