TMS Group Australia operates nationally across the Australian National Electricity Market, delivering digital metering and electrical services to Australia's leading electricity retailers and metering providers.
Following a strategic review of our Assets & Logistics function, we are establishing a National Assets & Logistics Manager to lead, strengthen and modernise our national warehousing, inventory and fleet operations.
This is a senior leadership appointment with genuine influence. The role reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer and sits at the centre of operational continuity, asset governance and commercial performance.
The Mandate
This role carries national accountability.
You will lead the development of a disciplined, high-visibility and performance-driven logistics framework that underpins field service delivery across multiple states.
* Reviewing and enhancing the organisation's Stock Management Procedure to ensure scalability, clarity and control
* Guiding system development to improve asset traceability, reporting integrity and real-time inventory visibility
* Standardising national warehouse operations across all states
* Driving forecasting, procurement and distribution discipline aligned to operational demand
* Governing both client-owned and TMS-owned inventory with robust reporting and reconciliation controls
* Leading fleet and operational asset management, ensuring compliance, utilisation optimisation and cost efficiency
* Ensuring full regulatory compliance including chain-of-responsibility obligations and controlled waste management
This is not a custodial role. It is a leadership role focused on performance, structure and measurable improvement.
Your Impact
The National Assets & Logistics Manager directly influences:
* Operational continuity across Australia
* Working capital exposure and inventory accuracy
* Client confidence through transparent governance
* Compliance risk profile
* Cost control and asset lifecycle optimisation
* Organisational scalability as TMS continues to grow
You will operate at the intersection of operations, finance, compliance and client accountability, bringing structure and commercial discipline to a nationally distributed logistics network.
About You
We are seeking an experienced and commercially astute logistics or supply chain leader who thrives in environments where structure must be strengthened and systems refined.
You will bring:
* Significant experience leading multi-site warehousing, logistics or supply chain operations
* A proven track record of improving inventory governance and control frameworks
* Experience implementing or enhancing ERP, WMS or asset management systems
* Strong commercial acumen, with an understanding of working capital and cost discipline
* Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive cross-functional alignment
* High attention to detail combined with strategic thinking capability
* Clear, professional communication skills and confident executive presence
Experience within utilities, infrastructure, energy or other regulated field service industries will be highly regarded.
Tertiary qualifications in logistics, supply chain or operations management are desirable.
Why This Role Matters
The quality of our Assets & Logistics function determines whether field operations run smoothly, whether compliance exposure is controlled and whether commercial performance is protected.
For the right leader, this role offers:
* National scope and executive visibility
* The opportunity to guide system and procedural transformation
* The ability to build a best-practice logistics function within a growing organisation
This is an opportunity to shape the architecture of TMS' national Assets & Logistics framework and leave a lasting operational footprint.
Applications will only be accepted via SEEK. Please include a cover letter with your CV outlining your experience and motivation for this role.
