Empower team to manage their work appropriately, respond to queries, address impediments and problem solve technical issues. Leverage excellent level of technical domain knowledge relevant to Chapter Area (e.g. Software Engineering). Communicate Engineering Practice standards and consistent ways of working across the domain and CBA that align to industry standards. Understand the value of and enable the growth of diverse teams. Role model a culture of engineering empowerment, autonomy, psychological safety, and constructive challenge. Facilitate proactive dialogue with senior management and key stakeholders to remove blockers and ensure clear path to execution. Attract, develop, and motivate engineering talent. Provide effective coaching to Engineers and establishes mechanisms for peer-to-peer learning and mentoring. Tech skills: We use a broad range of innovative tools, scalable platforms and process frameworks as a technology driven banking organization. We do not expect you to know them all but proven experience in Data Delivery and understanding of platforms will set you up for success in this role. People management with previous experience in playing leadership roles within a data engineering chapter coupled with ability to provide AI thought leadership. Expertise in leading and driving team of engineers that work with AWS services, Typescript/Node, Java, REST APIs and DevOps tools. Proven experience as a Software Engineering leader. Application development background and experience using TypeScript/Node, Java, and REST APIs. Serverless Computing using AWS - AWS lambda, SQS, SNS, Aurora PostgreSQL. Infrastructure as code using AWS CDK/Terraform/CloudFormation/SST. Working knowledge on Pub-Sub and Streaming technologies such as SQS, SNS, Kafka and Kinesis. Experienced in working in a DevOps environment. Microservices architecture, Design Patterns, and best practices in software programming. Logging and Monitoring tools. SDLC with Agile methodology. A degree in Computer Science or a related field.
