Supervisor Transcription Services Job Description

Duties:
* Conduct activities related to the Hobart Supreme Court:
* Operate and monitor the in-court digital recording system for transcribing services
* Train new transcription typist staff and associates
* Provide transcribing services to outside organizations on a state-wide basis, as directed by the Coordinator Transcribing Services
* Merge transcription segments to produce and deliver completed transcripts
* Undertake quality assurance processes for transcription staff outputs
* Advise stakeholders on transcription services and records of criminal and civil court procedures in Hobart
* Supervise the provision of transcription services within the Hobart Supreme Court, including rostering, supervision, training, and day-to-day administration of transcribing staff
Desirable Requirements:
* Typing speed of 80 words per minute
* Experience in supervising staff in an office environment
