We are looking to appoint a full time Payroll Officer to manage the payroll function end-to-end and play a key role in supporting our people and business operations.
Responsibilities
- Management of the full payroll function end-to-end, including weekly and monthly pay runs
- Ensure compliance with PAYG, Payroll Tax, WorkCover, Terminations, Redundancy, Long Service Leave and Superannuation. Includes inclusion of subcontractors deemed employees
- Guarantee employees are paid accurately, on time and in line with legislation, awards and EBAs
- Audit payroll processes to ensure strong compliance to legislation, awards and EBAs
- Supporting internal reporting requirements including leave liability
- Continuous improvement and standardisation of payroll operations and systems
- Managing company benefits program
- Maintain accurate and complete employee records
- Lead payroll system projects, implementations and integrations
- Continuously identify and deliver process efficiencies
- Build solid cross-functional collaboration with HR, Recruitment, Finance and the Project Delivery Teams
Qualifications
- Strong experience in complete payroll management, within the building construction industry preferred
- Expert knowledge of payroll legislation, industry awards, EBA and complex payroll scenarios
- Experience with Levesys preferred
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong track record of compliance, reporting and payroll audits
- High attention to detail, accountability and time management
