Key Responsibilities:
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Maintenance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our site.
Key responsibilities include:
* Auditing, monitoring and improving site practices and standards for statutory compliance;
* Continual assessment and improvement of mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency;
* Planning, coordinating and implementing defect repairs and maintenance schedules;
* Critical inspection report reviews and coordination of asset requests;
* Facilitating risk assessments and implementing effective change management practices;
* Developing, reviewing and coordinating mechanical improvements on downtime/reliability issues;
* Designing initiatives, upgrades and improvements to maintenance equipment/process requirements;
About You:
To succeed in this role, you will possess strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to establish effective working relationships with internal and external clients.
Required skills and qualifications include:
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering;
* Open cut experience supervising mechanical personnel;
* Experience in asset management/maintenance highly regarded;
* Document control system experience desirable;
* Advanced Microsoft Excel and Autodesk Inventor (CAD software) skills highly regarded;
* Positive, self-motivated attitude and drive to learn;
* Understanding of safe work practices;
* Strong report writing and auditing skills;
* Ability to develop outcome driven cost-effective solutions;
* Understanding of Australian Standards;
